Meet Dr. Crista MacDonald-Werby, ND

Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Crista MacDonald-Werby, BHSc., ND, was born and raised in Woodstock, Ontario. She earned her Bachelor of Health Sciences degree at the University of Western Ontario and then a four-year, professional program in Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. This included a one year internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, as well as an internship at Anishnawbe Health Toronto. She is a member in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and has passed the Therapeutic Prescribing exam.  Dr. Crista MacDonald-Werby, ND is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and a registrant of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).

Crista enjoys being involved in the community and doing volunteer work.  Her efforts include running a workshop in the Dominican Republic where she taught women, men and children who were HIV-positive how to improve their health using diet, local plants, exercise and lifestyle. She also has taught at Fanshawe College, spoken at various events across Oxford County and has led corporate wellness workshops and programs at industries across Ontario.  In 2006, Dr. MacDonald-Werby, ND opened MacDonald Naturopathic.

Nutrition

Food intolerances, deficiencies, dietary imbalances or nutritional excesses will be assessed and treated.

Lifestyle Counselling

Diet, lifestyle, specific stressors, exercise, environmental toxicities and occupational hazards are an integral part of the naturopathic treatment program.

Physical Medicine

Soft tissue work, hydrotherapy, gentle electrical impulses, acupuncture, acupressure & exercise therapy may be used as part of your treatment plan.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is used to regulate chi and achieve balance.  It is often used for alleviating pain and tension, reducing stress, minimizing headaches and supporting fertility.

Laboratory Tesing

Laboratory testing at the local lab may be used as part of your diagnostic work up.  We have a wide range of diagnostic and screening tests available such as cholesterol, hormone and thyroid testing, IgG food sensitivity, etc.  

Herbs & Botanicals

Botanicals provide a safe & effective form of treatment for children & adults.  We offer a full dispensary of botanical tinctures that can be individually customized and prepared on-site for you
